Beverly Beach State Park
If my husband and I had not been camping at Beverly Beach State Park, we would have missed this gem of a Day Use Area. Only a quarter mile off the Pacific Coast Highway, this well-maintained path to the beach is both easy to access and easy to walk.

On the walk to view the beach, you pass under a picturesque Highway 101 overpass, making this a unique beach access trail. Reaching the sand requires traversing a few-foot swath of sea-smoothed stones roughly three or four inches in diameter, as well as other beach debris. But the logs just before the beach allow you to take in the nearby stream and sea air while seated, and the ocean is close enough to hear the pounding surf.

| Directions: Turn west off Highway 101 to head toward the Beverly Beach State Park campground. Before you reach the campground check-in area, a sign will indicate a left turn to the Day Use Area. Follow the road into the parking lot. The path to the beach is clearly marked at the north end of the parking lot. |
